It operated from 1860 until it failed later in the 1860's. This colorful red and black note features a Vignette of a farmer with a child seated by a brook with cattle in it. On the lower left is a Vignette of a maiden standing beside a pillar that reads "State Rights". On the lower right is a portrait of John C. Calhoun.
