Description: 1940 special delivery, air mail cover sent from Ithica, NY to Salem, MA. This was a pre-printed business reply envelope from Daniel Low & Company (purveyors of jewelry and gift items). The cover has two cancellations on the front reading December 13, 1940 (Ithica, N.Y. (1)) and one on the reverse reading December 14, 1940 (Salem, Mass. (2)). In addition, there are hand-written notations on the front reading "Special Delivery" and "Air Mail." The cover is franked with one 6c (Scott #C23) and one 10c (Scott #E15) stamps. The cover is in excellent, clean condition.
