Description: Most of these vintage original 1940s-1950s fashion ads are in excellent condition and only have light edge wear, most of which can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat; however, please refer to the specific item details for each individual item in the descriptions below: 1953 Nan Rees Fashion Handmacher Ad: In excellent vintage condition for its age, this 1953 Weathervane Handmacher advertisement is practically pristine with only some light edge wear that is hardly noticeable and can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. There are a couple of original printing flaws made during the 1953 printing process; they are in the form of two tiny faint grey dots in the black white background space which are hardly noticeable and not visible in the image provided. On the reverse side is a full page color General Electric advertisement. Measurements: 10 1/4" x 14" 1953 Suzy Parker Fashion Handmacher Ad: In excellent vintage condition, this 1953 Handmacher fashion ad only has some light edge wear as mentioned on the binding edge; there is also a tiny original printing flaw on this edge. Fortunately, all of this light edge wear can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. On the backside of this ad is a full page color 1953 advertisement for Gold Seal Floors and walls. Measurements: 10" x 14" 1952 Forstmann Virgin Wool Coat Fashion Ad: Practically in mint condition, this vintage 1952 Forstmann Virgin Wool Coat advertisement is actually part of the front cover of a 1952 Life magazine (which is featured on the reverse side of the print ad) so it is made of a firmer paper type than the usual magazine page. Fortunately, this means that the advertisement is sturdier than most; however since it was part of the front cover there is some light edge and surface wear...but this is hardly noticeable even when closely examined and can all be easily hidden behind framing glass and the border of a picture frame or framing mat. Measurements: 10 1/2" x 14" 1948 Milliken Fashion Ad: In excellent vintage condition for its old age, this 1948 Milliken fashion advertisement is nearly flawless as it only has the slightest bit of edge wear (which includes a tiny 1/2" hairline tear on the far right edge in the blank white margin space) that can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. Measurements: 10 1/4" x 14" 1949 Milliken Fashion Ad: In excellent vintage condition, this 1949 Milliken fashion ad is practically pristine aside from some light edge wear that is barely noticeable and can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. As seen in the second image provided, there is a vintage original Schlitz Beer advertisement on the back side of this print ad; this too would look fabulous framed and displayed yet in a man cave, bachelor pad, bar, tavern, or pub! Measurements: 10 1/4" x 14" 1953 Sacony Business Woman Fashion Ad: In good vintage condition for its old age, this 1953 Sacony suits advertisement is practically pristine...making it a marvelous gift! There is only the slightest bit of edge wear that is hardly noticeable and some tiny scattered white specks on a couple of the images that are not wear but actually original printing flaws printed in the manfacturing process in 1953. On the reverse side of this print there is a half page size excerpt from an articl titled "Mackenzie King" as well as two quarter page size advertisements; one is for Needletuft Textiles and the other is for Palmolive After Shave Lotion...the Needletuft advertisement shows a classic illustration of a mid century style housewife...all ads are printed in black and white. Measurements: 10 1/2" x 14" 1953 Sacony Suits Fashion Ad: In excellent vintage condition, this 1953 Sacony Suit fashion advertisement is nearly pristine with only the slightest bit of edge wear, this includes a couple of tiny hairline tears that are hardly noticeable and once placed behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat they will go completely unseen. On the reverse side there is a half page black and white advertisement for Baltimore & Ohio Travel Agency promoting their Washington DC vacations and exhibits of Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial, Capitol, and National Gallery of Art. On the other side of the page is a portion of an article titled "Plenty of Nothing" and it shows images of different types of "confederate currency" in black and white. Measurements: 10 1/2" x 14" 1951 Celanese Fashion Ad: This 1951 era advertisement features Celanese Fabric on the front side. It would look great in a retro style consignment shop, especially when matted flat, framed and pressed behind glass. There is some light wear along the left edge where it was delicately removed from the magazine's bind. Measurements: 10" x 14" 1953 Celanese Fashion Jean Patchett Sunny Harnett Lillian Marcuson Ad: In good vintage condition, this 1953 Celanese Acetate two page advertisement does show a few signs of light expected wear. Please note that the image provided is not an exact image of the vintage advertisement that we have available in terms of condition; it is, however, an accurate representation of this beautiful 1953 print ad! There is a lightly tinted water stain located on the bordering edges of this vintage print; fortunately most of this runs along the far edges of each print and therefore can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. However, this faint water stain does peek into the blank white space and typography text near the far left and far right-hand edges in the bottom corner portions of the advertisement. This light water stain only appears on the images of the women in these tiny places: the woman located on the far left and the woman on the far right only have a tiny touch of the water stain barely visible on their white glove which are both holding purses at the far edges of the print...this is fortunately hardly noticeable. The woman in the center left frame with the double breasted suit has a hairline shaped touch of the water stain on her round hat box that she is resting on her left shoulder at the binding edge of the print; this too is hard to detect unless closely examined. As mentioned before, this water stain is mostly visible near the bottom portions of the advertisement covering a small portion of the text near the far edges of the ad. Lastly, since this vintage print ad was exposed to a slightly humid environment in the past, the surface of the paper near the edges have a faint ripple; once placed behind display glass this should go unnoticed and be nicely flattened out. Measurements: This is a two page poster print; each page measures 10 1/2" x 14" 1953 Du Pont Orlon Acrylic Fiber Fabric Fashion Ad: This 1953 era Du Pont advertisement is in very good condition other than some light wear along the left edge where it was delicately removed from the magazine bind. This could easily be hidden behind the border of a frame when matted and pressed behind glass. It features an adorable illustration of matching mother - daughter Easter outfits. There is a bunny in the corner who's winking while wearing a checkerboard jacket. Measurements: 10" x 14" 1953 Du Pont Orlon Women's & Children's Fashion Ad: In excellent vintage condition for its old age, this original 1953 Du Pont Orlon Acrylic Fiber advertisement shows very few signs of wear...making it a charming gift! There is only some light edge wear which includes a faint sepia toned water stain that spans the far right-hand edge of the print; the bottom edge of the print also has some light paper rippling from past exposure to a humid environment. Fortunately, most of this light wear is located on the far edges (the right and bottom edges) of the print and can therefore mostly go unseen and hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. Moreover, the light paper rippling/creasing on the bottom edge may lay flat once placed behind display glass. On the reverse side of this print ad, is a full-page color advertisement for "Swift'ning" and "Swans Down Cake Flour" which features recipes for Swift'ning Pastry pie crust, Butterscotch Sauce, Chocolate Sauce, Orange Sauce, and Funny Cake"; although all of the recipes are featured on this page, this is actually part of a two page advertisement, and only this page is included as this listing is intended for the 1953 Du Pont Orlon Acrylic Fiber advertisement featured on the reverse side. Measurements: 10 1/2" x 14" 1952 Gibson Christmas Cards Ad: In excellent vintage condition for its age, this vintage original 1952 Gibson Christmas Cards advertisement only has the slightest bit of edge wear that is hardly noticeable and can easily be hidden behind the border of a picture frame or framing mat. On the backside of this Gibson Cards ad there is a two page magazine spread advertisement and the other page is not included as this listing is intended for the 1952 Gibson Cards ad showcased here.
