Konzentrationlager KZ Cover written on camp issued letter card in German. The cover is addressed to a Josef Zaba in Bohemia Moravia, Czechoslovakia. Sender is a prisoner named Jaroslav Zaba. Letter survives in German. Postmarked march 6, 1944. For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item. Cover is in excellent condition. The Nazis established Gross-Rosen on the 2 August 1940 in Lower Silesia, as a satellite camp of Sachsenhausen, in the vicinity of the granite quarry of Gross-Rosen. On 1 May 1941 Gross-Rosen became an independent concentration camp; it remained in operation until mid-February 1945.
