Description: 1947 VINTAGE FRANK HOLTON TROMBONE ELKHORN WIS MODEL 65, The serial number is 179966 on bell. The number 3610 on slide with the model number 65. Dates to 1947. Slide show wear to finish from use but still slides nicely. Lots of finish wear on the body itself. The pad on the water drain is old but still function, will eventually need replaced. Where mouthpiece goes measures .46 Bore where slide goes in is .59 Comes with original Holton case, has wear and tear . Repair made to piece that holds slide in , reglued. Also has a Yamaha mouthpiece. Bell measures 7" across. The finish on the trombone is worn as shown and has several wrinkles in bell as shown including a place where the slide broke loose in the case and put a gouge in the bell. The tuning slide is free and works and the slide lock on the slide functions as it should. Also a ding here or there on body of horn, several dents on end of tuning slide.
