The coin has a denomination of 25 mils, a holdover from the currency issued when the region of Palestine was administered by the British; then it was 1000 mils to the Palestinian pound. The obverse of this coin displays a cluster of grapes. A similar design was used on coins struck during the Bar-Kochba Revolt A.D. 132 - 135.
