AEM's New V3 of the Water/Methanol Kits, this kit is designed for forced inductions vehicles running up to 35 PSI of boost. The kit includes an on-board MAP sensor with a molded-in nipple for a boost hose pickup. Water/Methanol Injection kits can help you achieve a lot of goals that you couldn't achieve otherwise. Running water/methanol injection not only cools the intake charge, making the air more dense, which makes more power through the engine...but it also has another affect that helps. Running water/methanol injection with proper tuning, can allow you to run a more aggressive tune (more boost/timing) on the same fuel than you would be able to with out it. UEGO: Monitoring an engines Air/Fuel Ratio is very important once you start modifying its parts for performance. Horsepower is gained by increasing the amount of air and the amount of fuel that enters the engine per combustion. Adding parts like a Turbo, Supercharger, or even something as simple as an Intake to increase the flow of air into the engine will likely affect your air:fuel ratio. By how much? Bigger Injectors, Fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulators will change how much fuel is going into the engine, but how much? It would be impossible to tell without a wideband air/fuel ratio meter. The on-demand progressive controller in AEM’s Boost Dependent PN30-3300 Water/Methanol Injection kit bases injection flow on manifold pressure using an on-board MAP sensor (up to 35 PSI of boost) to ensure the proper amount of water/methanol injection at all points along an engine’s power curve. The Bosch UEGO sensor gives the controller its speed and accuracy. The Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor used in the 30-4110 AEM Wideband UEGO AFR Controller Gauge has a faster light off time and draws less current than the 4.2 LSU sensor used with AEM’s 30-4100 Wideband UEGO Controller Gauge, which will be superseded to the 30-4110 gauge in August, 2014. The 4.9 LSU sensor features the same fuel compatibility as the 4.2 LSU and NEVER requires free-air calibration when used with AEM’s 30-4110 Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge.
