Description: Joaquin Alberto Vargas y Chávez (1896 - 1982). Lithograph on paper of a red haired woman leaning her face into her knees. Hand signed lower left. Paper measures 11x17 unframed. Provenance: The prints originate from a shop called the “Pin Up Shop” it was between 1979 and 1981, shortly before Alberto Vargas died in 1982, the owner of the prints acquired these prints when the shop closed and he bought all of them in bulk. As he says he had meant to put these up for sale eventually, but hadn't over the years in consideration for his wife. Derick J. Daniels of Playboy magazine was an Investor in The Pin Up Shop.
