Alexander Mcqueen scarf McQueen Loves London 54" lg square Pink modal silk NWOT

Description: This is a new-without-tags, authentic, never worn Alexander McQueen large square scarf from his "McQueen Loves London" collection, which has become very hard to find since most of it sold out some time ago. This scarf is 54" square (54" wide and 54" long) and made from a wonderfully cloud-light blend of 85% modal and 15% silk, a blend used by McQueen quite often for scarves; this light and floaty fabric is perfect for spring and summer wear in particular. The predominant color is fabulous pink in lighter and darker shades, with some ivory and dark grey outlining and accents. There is a short ivory fringe around the edges, as can be seen from the photos. As with most McQueen scarves, the best and most notable feature of this one is its elaborate print, featuring an antique map of London with its different boroughs or neighborhoods, and showing historical houses and buildings along with the written names of London's boroughs as they follow along the Thames river, where sea monsters cavort. Other fanciful details and creatures can be found here and there, in classic McQueen style. I have tried to show the print in the photos but honestly, it is so complex that you could spend hours looking at all the details! CONDITION NOTES (NEW WITHOUT STORE TAGS): I bought this scarf with some other McQueen London-themed scarves around 2020 - 2021; since then these wonderful scarves have mostly sold out and disappeared from the retail (or resale) scene. This one came to me without the store tags so that is how it is being sold now, though it is new and has never worn-I have only taken it out of its wrapping to take the photos. The Alexander McQueen sewn-in brand and care labels are present, as is his logo woven into the fabric at one edge. The scarf has been stored carefully, folded, in a non-smoking environment; there are no issues to point out with it other than the lack of store tags and whatever creasing may have happened while it has been stored or during the photos-luckily the soft modal-silk fabric resists wrinkling more than plain silk does. If the creases bother you, they should be removable with steaming, hanging or pressing. Please see all the photos and consider to make sure you will not mind the lack of store tags before buying the scarf, as it is being sold in its present condition,as shown and described. CARE: The attached care label advises dry cleaning only; washing would not be advisable since modal is definitely better dry cleaned.
