Description: Exquisite antique Victorian bodice with gigantic balloon sleeves, black velvet, lace, silk, and yellow front. The jet beadwork down the front and over the shoulder is well intact but it does have some chalky residue. The interior has a beautifully patterned lining and all of its original boning. The lace cuffs measure almost 7 inches long and have a sweep of 28 inches. The widest part of the sleeve at the top of the shoulder is over 26 inches around. All of the original hook and enclosures on the centerfront are still attached. The lace cuffs are in very good condition and only need minor repairs. Although there are polls in the yellow silk and a few holes approximately 80% is in wonderful condition. We have not laundered this piece and the taffeta bodice portion is in excellent conditionThis piece is fragile and should only be delicately worn.
