Description: Antique Arts and Crafts movement vase dated 1913. I have not been able to identify the maker, though it is signed with the initials AOBE (in some order), and made in the style of William De Morgan and the 19th century English Aesthetic Movement. The vase draws on classical forms, as was appropriate given that the lustreware revival was based upon Mesopotamian origins. I believe this piece to have been made in the United States, where the influences of the British Aesthetic and Arts and Crafts movements took seed slightly later. It is in beautiful condition, with no damage to the vase or glaze, which retains all of its lovely, pearlescent glow. 3.25 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide.
