Description: MEASUREMENTS- 12” tall x 6” diameter at the globes x 7 1/2” out from wall. MOUNTING BASE- 6” tall x 4 1/2” wide. This pair of antique cast iron sconces features an elegant yet sleek machine age Art Deco design. The sconces are made of cast iron and were reconditioned with a beautiful antique gold color new wiring and original 1910 sockets cleaned and polished back to their original beauty. They are suitable for outdoor use and were manufactured in the early 1900s, the sockets are both dated in May of 1910’ so the they are approximately 115 years old. The sconces are medium-sized and are perfect for any antique or architectural enthusiast. The lights are ready for immediate installation. Both of the crackle glass globes give off a gorgeous detailed reflections and are in very nice condition. One of the sconces has a chip in the back rim of the shade cup were the original thumb screw was, a repair of two new thumb screw ports were added and work perfectly. Folks repaired things back in those days as tv was not a throw away society as we have today. The chip is superficial and part of the history of this set. The castings have rough areas from when they were cast, on the side of one of the sconces there is casting pits and slight holes from when the light was poured and formed during manufacturing. Overall these are absolutely gorgeous and sure to light up your area with class and style for decades more to come.
