Made for mounting on a cross, this type of corpus was popular for private devotion and for funerals. The body of Christ is made out of solid bronze in the mid century. This high quality corpus was made in France and is marked bronze on the side. It measures 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 inches wide. It has a mid century modern style. It was made sometime between 1950 and 1970. It has been left with the darker aged bronze patina, but it can certainly be polished up to a much brighter finish if that is what you prefer.
