Description: Antique Limoges France 3 Piece Teapot, Creamer and Sugar Bowl. Hand painted with purple blue clematis flowers and gilding. Square design form. Marked A. Lanterrier & Cie, Limoges, France, hand painted. The factory was established in 1857 by Francois Frederic Lanterrier. In 1890, Alfred Lanterrier joined his father. These pieces are from the early 20th century (after 1918) when the company began producing tableware. Unusual square shape with exquisitely hand painted blue clematis and green leaves on a soft creamy background. Upper rim is edged with a very pale green and separated with a dot and dash trim. Handles are fully gilded, as are the rims and the tip of the lids on the teapot and sugar bowl. Very good condition - No cracks, crazing or staining - Light wear to the gilding on the creamer and sugar handles. Total of 2 fleas bites that I noticed. One FLEA BITE inside the teapot opening - visible from the top (looking down) and one FLEA BITE on the sugar. (Please see last 3 photos). Spouts and lids are excellent condition. Please see photos.
