Description: Antique Vintage Von Schierholz Germany HP Porcelain Lg Compote Floral Bouquets Here is a very beautiful antique Von Schierholz Germany large hand-painted pierced porcelain compote with decoration of floral bouquets, etc. It measures about 10 1/4" in diameter and about 6 3/4" tall. It is in excellent condition overall with no chips or cracks. There is wear to the gold trim. There are some light surface marks on the interior, visible on very close examination. There is a ground area on underside of base, probably where the porcelain blank maker's mark was originally. It is marked with a somewhat smudged von Schierholz shield mark. There is some rust to the screw/nut on underside and some brownish coloration immediately surrounding it. Looks great overall. An impressive piece. Please see photos.
