This water-based gel contains benzoyl peroxide, which has in vitro bactericidal activity and keratolytic properties, reducing the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum. Composition: Benzac AC 5 gel contains 5 g benzoyl peroxide per 100 g in an aqueous gel base with glycerol and acrylates copolymer. Pharmacological classification: A 13.12 acne preparations. Pharmacological action: Benzoyl peroxide has in vitro bactericidal activity as well as keratolytic properties and reduces the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum. Indications: Benzac AC 5 gel is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Identification: White to slightly off-white, smooth and homogenous gel, without foreign particles with a characteristic odour. Presentation: Plastic tubes containing 60 gram. Direction Step 1 - Wash the affected area with a mild skin cleanser and water and pat skin dry. Step 2 - Apply a thin film of Benzac AC Gel to the affected areas once daily, leaving on the skin for 2 hours then washing it off with water then pat skin dry. Step 3 - Apply a light moisturiser which won’t clog pores. After three days, if no discomfort is felt, apply Benzac AC Gel in the evening and leave it on all night.
