The hat band features embroidered bullion crown and brass anchor inside a wreath. Diamond shaped label under clear protection says: “By Special Appointment | (hallmark) | Gieves Ltd | 27 Old Bond St London and | 48, George St, Edinburgh | (then 3 rows of fine print with other addresses).Condition of the cap is very good with some age-related discoloration / spots – especially the white part on top of the hat. See photos.Hat measures 11 inches in diameter, measured across the top. Inside diameter measured at the leather hat band is 22-1/4 inches. That presumes the hat to be an approximate size of 7-1/4.
