Description: Very nice Vintage Original Framed Cabinet Card Photo Image of boys class or school in Germany with adult supervision back row. Date unknown we are estimating around 1900. Many of the boys are in sailor type outfits or uniforms and all have caps. On back are written SOME names and at end of name appears to be the German town or city boy was from. The locations appear to be far away from each other so this could have been a higher end or national type of school possibly military? If anyone has more info we would be pleased to hear from you. No studio stamp visible. Measures 12.5 x 10.25" overall with wood frame under glass and metal loop. There is some chalky material on part of photo and back from extensive age we believe if photo is removed the material can be brushed away. But photo and backing are nailed within frame and we do not want to disturb it. There is also foxing and fading with age. Frame had beaded border which has mostly broken away and many scuffs and chips but still solid. Zoom in on pics as part of description. A great item especially if naturally from Germany.
