Description: An interesting version of an Antique Chinese Dadao. The Dadao are known as the Chinese great sword with the design based on rural agricultural knives. The Chinese man we acquired this sword from claimed that this smaller sword was a Temple Sword but it the purpose is unknown to us.Forged completely of iron in a manner suggesting the iron work of the 18th C, the sword is 23" overall and the blade is 16" inlength. There is no seperate blade it is one piece of forged iron.
