Description: A scarce little 7"tall COWDEN & WILCOX signed brown stoneware jug from Harrisburg, Pa....COWDEN & WILCOX incised into the pottery on front shoulder (some letters are weak strike but most clearly visible).....Hand thrown pottery jug with applied handle....big square ring collar.....brown glazed with nice fingerprints around base and a couple drips....only 7"tall....4 3/8"across base....Excellent shiny nice condition with only a small hard to see hairline crack on the bottom of where handle was applied; no other damage of any kind. I guarantee the handle was not broken off since there is no other crack on handle.
