Description: This handmade necklace is made with a year-specific Roosevelt or Mercury Dime (date dependent- see below) mounted in a new nickel-plated bezel so the coin is not damaged in any way and a new 20-inch silver-plated curb chain with lobster clasp. If you prefer an 18 or 22-inch chain please let me know with a note included with your order. The price is the same for all 3 lengths.The coin shown is representative of the coin you will receive.Mercury Dimes were produced from 1916 to 1945. These dimes are composed of 90% silver/10%copper.Roosevelt Dimes were produced from 1946 to current. From 1946 through 1964 these dimes contained 90% silver/10%copper. Starting in 1965 the composition was changed to a copper (75%)-nickel(25%) outer layer bonded to a core of pure copper.This makes a thoughtful and custom gift for that special someone’s birthday or anniversary and will be sent with a birthday display card.
