It also has a global shutter that prevents the "jello-cam" effect when panning or filming fast-moving subjects. File format The D16 shoots raw still frames per second in CinemaDNG, an open RAW file format from Adobe. Resolution The D16 has three resolution options: 2048 x 1152 in Super16 mode, 2048 x 1080 in Super16 European mode, and 1920 x 1080 in 16mm mode. Lens mount The D16 has a native C mount, which is a nod to the original Bolex 16mm film cameras. This allows for a wide variety of vintage and modern C-Mount lenses. Ergonomic design The D16 has an ergonomic design that allows for different hand holding positions and grips. It also has a removable pistol style grip with a built-in start/stop trigger. Built-in features The D16 has a built-in LCD screen, two user assignable cranks, a built-in SSD and battery, and two media card slots. • Audio The D16 has dual 3-pin XLR connectors with phantom power for powering microphones. It also has a headphone jack for monitoring sound.
