Description: Here's an early ceramic pearlware blue spatterware plate with a patriotic American theme of an eagle and a shield with 13 stars from Staffordshire, England. The piece dates from the early to mid 1800's. The plate measures 8 inches in diameter and weighs almost ¾ pound before packaging. It is marked with an impressed letter A on the back as shown. There is overall crazing and associated staining, but otherwise this piece is in very nice condition with no chips, nicks or cracks.
