Elliot Tall Hall Clock, 8 Bells & Wire Gongs

Description: We have for your consideration the following. An Elliot, London chiming hall clock in an architectural style built oak case. The top has dart molding, the hood door and sides have heavy beveled glasses. The trunk with the same beveled glass , the door and sides all framed with egg and dart moldings. Very impressive case. The dial is brass with silvered chapter ring and applied arabic numerals. The dial is signed Elliot London. The Dial with the moon phase, subsidiary dials for seconds, chime , silent, Westminster , Whittington tune selection. All functional. Of course this movement is an eight day, three train movement driven by three heavy brass weights, chiming the quarter hours and the hour on the bells and or gongs. The case looks to have the original finish with some scratches and scuffs. See pictures as they are part of the listing. The dial has been polished over the years. The pendulum , bob , weights all seem to original. 25in x 104in x 16in approximately. Has key for the doors not for the movement. Has the 3 large heavy weights and finial. Runs with no issue 8 days , not tested long term. Once moved to a new home it will need to be put in beat , leveled and gongs adjusted. If needed I would sell the clock without the case.
