Exceptional 1880ish Antique Staffordshire Spaniel Dogs w/Rare, Expressive Eyes

Description: These beauties are white with gold and black detail. They are left and right facing, and the male is slightly larger than the female. As a prized possession, they were brought to the U.S. by my Welsh great grandmother when she came to this country; they date back to somewhere around 1880. I'm in the process of building a new house, which is taking longer and costing more than anticipated, and I could use the cash so I'm offering them for sale to someone who will enjoy these dogs with their own family. This pair has very rare expressive eyes; I have not seen another pair with a similar style of eyes. They are quite engaging, with a great deal of personality. The two dogs make an elegant display on a mantel or sideboard, or can be used to frame artwork or as part of a larger display or collection. The Spaniel Dogs are thought to be originally inspired by Queen Victoria's King Charles Spaniel "Dash". I will ship them Priority USPS insured, cost to be calculated and added to the final price. If you prefer another shipping method I can most likely accommodate you. I have them stored in a 16" x 13" x 10" box but am not sure of the weight once they are packed for shipping.
