Known as The Grail, Zakk had his Gibson Les Paul custom painted when he needed something to distinguish himself visually from former Ozzy guitarist Randy Rhoads.Built around 1975 by John Diggins and instantly recognisable with trademark cross inlays and large patches of bubbled and peeling paint exposing bare wood, the Old Boy soon became Tony Iommi’s main instrument in the studio and on the road.This is not a photograph, it's hand drawn by George Morgan following extensive research.
