I think the condition is good and original showing normal age evident wear, the corners have some wear and has a nice old patina that only comes from over many years. A small amount of gesso loss on one corner about 3/4" X 1/2". I have taken a lot of quality pictures so you can see how beautiful this antique frame is so please look at all our pictures.... ( OUR PICTURES ARE PART OF OUR DESCRIPTION). This frame is a true work of art in it self and will enhance that special painting or photo when displayed and sure will get many compliments when viewed. Overall size is 20 1/8" X 22" and will take a 8" X 10" photo or painting. The frame is about 2. 50" thick at it's widest point. Again I think the condition is good shows some normal wear nothing that detracts from it's beauty. This is a 100+ year old frame with a great old patina found in it's original state. It is rare to find a gesso and wood frame of this caliber and age in this condition. If there was a Hall of Fame for frames this would be hanging there.
