Description: FINIAN'S RAINBOW, Herald (Advertising Flyer), 1946, for the RCA Record album for sale in the lobby of the Erlanger Theatre where the show tried out. This four 10 inch record set is before the original Broadway cast recording on Columbia Records. The musical opened in NYC on 01/10/47 and ran for 725 performances. The front features The cast for this recording includes Jimmy Carroll, Audrey Marsh, Jimmy Blair, The Deep River Boys and The Guild Choristers while Russ Case and his orchestra provid the music. Music by Burton Lane, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg and book by E.Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy. Produced by Lee Sabinson and William R. Katzell. The stage musical was directed by Bretaigne Windust and choreographed by Michael Kidd. The cast of the musical includes Ella Logan, Albert Sharpe, Donald Richards, David Wayne, Anita Alvarez, Robert G. Pitkin, Eddie Bruce, Tom McElhany, Sonny Terry and the Lynn Murray Singers. This is NOT a reproduction!! Heralds are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs. Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches. Brochure style heralds can be one sheet or multi folds and measure about 3 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Condition is very good with some minor edge wear, some darkening on the edges and a light vertical fold. International purchases are subject to a $2.00 handling fee. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
