Description: Lunar Orbit FLOWN Apollo 17 maps,two complete sections still attached to each other. Signed and noted by Charlie Duke. From the collection of Gene Cernan. I purchased these maps from The Space Collective,they are from the Gene Cernan collection. The original map was a fold out map that was cut into 10 sections,this map had the Apollo 16 landing site right near a fold so I purchased Both Maps and left them together,so this is actually two complete sections of the original map. I sent them to Charlie Duke who examined the maps,located his landing site and marked it with an X. He notated his mission numbers,signed and labeled the map as “flown to the moon on Apollo 17”. The maps from The Space Collective a very reputable dealer of space memorabilia. The lot included the certificate from The Space Collective as well as a copy of Gene Cernan’s letter and a copy of the stowage list showing the actual number of the item aboard the Apollo 17 command module. These were originally $1750 per map section ($3500) plus the Duke signing fee of $400 for a total of $3900. I’m asking less than that due to slow work,and an unexpected stay in the hospital so sadly I must raise some money.Maps are in incredible pristine condition. The maps are in a plastic top loader and will be safely padded in cardboard for shipping. Feel free to make a respectful offer,I will have other space memorabilia coming up such as signed astronaut letters and other flown memorabilia. These maps went fast when Space Collective listed them.
