GLAMOROUS 1940s 50s Halter Neck Petal Bust CHAMPAGNE SILK SATIN FORMAL DRESS

Description: Glamorous vintage 1940s / early 1950s evening gown made of a luxurious champagne / light beige coloured satin (I believe it is a silk satin but there are no labels) with a subtle Asian motif & floral pattern woven into the fabric. The dress features a thin halter neck strap, a fitted bodice (could with interior boning - the dress could easily be worn strapless) and features a petal bust with centre opening, crossover front satin swags, a nipped waist and a slim A-line cut skirt with wide pleat detail below the waist and a floorlength hem just a few inches longer at the back. The dress has a stiffening lining for shaping the dress (not the most comfortable against your skin - I would recommend a slip underneath) and closes at the back with a metal zipper. MEASUREMENTS: No labels / custom made (and very well made) ... Bust measures 33.5 inches, the waist 23 inches and the hips are 60 inches. The dress is 46 inches in length (measured from the centre of the bust to the hem) with an additional 3 inches of length at the back. CONDITION: Very slight wear ... ... overall, excellent condition.
