Description: Goebel M.I. Hummel Kleine Musik Kinder Wooden Display Stand for "The Little Music Makers" Series of four figurines. Circa 1986. A miniature plate and figurine series called the "Little Music Makers" was produced by Goebel M.I Hummel in the mid 1980s, one each year for four years. (1984-1988) This display stand was manufactured by Goebel in 1986, specifically for the figurines to be displayed upon. Production of these miniature figurines continued until December 31st 1997, when the miniature size (4/0) figurines were Temporalily Withdrawn (TW) from production by Goebel. They are closed editions (CE) now. This display stand is complete. It includes a wooden easel with the M.I. Hummel Music sheet. Others I have seen on eBay are usually missing the easel and especially the sheet music. The display is in Excellent condition considering it's age. I do not see any scrapes, chips, scratches or other damage. If positioned in a certain angle with light, you can see circles from where the base of figurines once sat on the display many years ago. Also, in my opinion, the construction of the easel was poorly made by Goebel. This is standard from others I have viewed. As you can see in the pictures, there are shiny areas in the corners where the points were originally glued together. They could have done a better job. Please view pictures to assess for yourself. Sorry, I could not locate the original box. I have the all of the hummels, plates, this wooden display stand and the wooden plate holder for both series.
