Description: From my own personal doll collection bought new in the 1980s. It is a Gotz doll which was bought by Pleasant Company to be used as the prototype of the first American girl doll. She has all original clothes including hat, shoes and socks, and pantaloons. She is in very good condition, still poseable, with no marks or imperfections on her body. She will come in a Gotz box with tag(box is in okay condition and stapled on corners) either original to her. At one time her head had been glued on but now she is totally restrung. Arms and head aren't super tight but will hold position. Legs are tighter. Her neck has a very small amount of glue residue that I did not try to remove...see picture. Bows are not original and elastic in pantaloons needs replacement. At present they are pinned in the back. This is a very hard to find and highly collectible Gotz doll in excellent condition. She was only used for display and never played with. She is sought after by Gotz and American girl doll collectors.
