Description: this is a handwritten journal by a woman - begun in 1892her name is never given - but someone has noted on the inside front cover that she was born in 1821, married Henry Collins in 1842, and died in 1902 - her husband died in 1890at the beginning of the journal she is in New Britain, CT - she is staying with a family but I never figured out what the relationship to her wasshe travels to Newport a couple of times and also Hartford CTshe visits Conanicut Island which she refers to as her ancestral homethere is a vague mention of some sort of legal issuethe journal goes into 1893 and at the end she becomes ill and goes to several towns in New Yorkthere are 96 hand written pagesno missing or loose pages
