Description: Beautiful vintage 60s HOWARD GALE St. Nick. Howard Gale was the Santa Claus Christmas Doll Maker. He and his wife Viola built their business by making display Santa’s for dept stores. In 1957 they started making dolls for the baby boomers. These were first sold by Sears Roebuck and Co. it was truly a Santa’s Workshop filled with all the necessary materials to make these. They were all handmade, wire frame bodies, sewn Santa Suit, and Handpainted composite faces. This darling Glitering Gold suit, Christmas Santa reminds of the Sixties style. He has cream velvet type pants. A Plastic white belt and boots. His wool beard is clean, full and fluffy. His face shows a jolly twinkle in his eye. The coloring is very vibrant and has no passing loss. Honestly this is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen. No holes in his clothes, no breaks in the plastic. If you are looking for a very nice HOWARD GALE addition, look no further. Here he is!
