Historic OUD 1901 Abdo George & Roufan Nahat Ekhwan Brothers Damascus Syria

Description: Historic and rare Oud.Has been sitting on a library shelf since the late 1920's.Condition issues are as seen in photographs provided.Abdo George Nahat and Roufan Nahat partnered in the late 1800's and produced ouds as "Ekhwan (brothers) Nahat" in Damascus Syria. This Oud was completed on February 23,1901 and given serial number 1123. This serial number matches the sequence experts have detected and listed since the first oud from the 1880's was detected.The inner circle of the rosette bears the name "Ekhwan Nahat" in white and is set in an ornamental walnut surround.The pegs and peg box are original but missing 3 of the complete full dozen.If you are an Oud expert, you know what this is, know what it will take to restore, and you respectfully need no further embellishment from me.This is free local pickup only. 2 hours south of NYC and half hour outside Philadelphia in the state of New Jersey.I will not ship this instrument and risk loss or damage.
