Description: Huckleberry Finn and His Friends was a 1979 live-action Canadian/German show which aired in Canada, as well as The United States on Showtime in the early 1980's for a total of 26 episodes. It's a very well-done show that unfortunately has only been released in Europe on DVD from very grainy prints, and isn't available in North America. This set is region free will play on American and Canadian Blu Ray players as well as around the world. You must own a Blu Ray player to watch. It follows the adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and includes characters from the books including Aunt Polly, Injun Joe, Becky Thatcher and Jim the runaway slave. The series was broadcast in many countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Venezuela and many other Latin American nations. The series was re-shown many times during the 1980s to early 1990s and has grown somewhat of a cult following. Our region-free, fan-produced 4-disc Blu Ray release has been upscaled and sharpened and looks much better than the European PAL release. Also the speed has been corrected so they don't sound like chipmunks. It's been put together by a real fan of the show. Also included is a special "making of" documentary with cast members, and behind the scenes photos. This will not play on Xbox. There are no subtitles.
