Description: This is a 1939-46 Exhibit Salutations Baseball card featuring the legendary Hall of Famer JOE DIMAGGIO of the NEW YORK YANKEES. The vintage oversized card is in FR/GD condition and perfect for any fan of the ‘Yankee Clipper’. The 1939-46 Exhibit Salutation set consists of 83 cards measuring 3-3/8" x 5-3/8". The cards feature a black and white images with a brown or red-brown tint. Each carries a salutation such as "Best Wishes," or "Sincerely Yours," along with a facsimile autograph. The unnumbered cards have blank backs and a MADE IN USA mark on the front at the bottom. The Cards were sold in vending machines, from 1939 to 1946, and were one of the few baseball card sets produced during World War II.
