The closest natural materials are Obsidian and Volcanic Glass which are commonly black in color. The material used for our gems is no longer produced and therefore implies some rarity, but it should be noted that similar material can be reproduced at any time. Fine Cut = Precision cut or visually imitates a precision cut. These stones have equal and symmetrical faceting with proper cutting angles ("critical angle') and depth.
