Description: Antique Tunbridge Ware inlaid wood desk tray - English Mid 19th century.Beautiful marquetry work. This is a large desk tray which measures 17" X 13" X 2 1/2" high. The piece is absolutely stunning and in very good condition for its age with no cracks or breaks. Very little loss to a few of the wooden tiles ( see photos ). At some point ( I think in 1976 ) someone coated it with glossy varnish and put a small paper label on one side. ( see photo ). Indeed a rare piece.
