Description: This wonderful LEGO set was designed using exact specifications from Boeing as the commercial 787 Dreamliner. It features authentic colors, detailed design, a display stand, and a display card listing the real Boeing 787 Dreamliner's specifications. My son originally built this set in about 2007 and displayed it, but then about 15 years ago it broke apart after getting knocked off its stand. It was then put back in its box and has been in storage since until now. With all of its stickers already applied, counting pieces was too difficult, so the easiest way to declare it complete was to rebuild it—from the ground up. It is now built correctly, and I double-checked everything. As you will see from the instruction booklets, aside from the wings and engines, the forward fuselage and cockpit area is a bit complex, the rear tail section being the most complex area to construct. The assembled rudder, the two connected tailplane sections, and aft section that connects them will have to be detached from the fuselage so that the main body of the fuselage will fit into the LEGO box. Several photos show the complexity of this area. The main assembled fuselage body will then fit into the LEGO box. The assembled wings with engines, the stand partially disassembled with the remaining pieces in a separate plastic bag, and instruction booklets inside of protective plastic sleeves will also be shipped inside of the LEGO box. I have cleaned up any pieces with dust on them to the extent possible. The two instruction booklets shown are in very good condition. Photos show tears on the top of the box that have been repaired, as shown; otherwise, the rest of the box remains in very good condition, all sides of the box shown in the accompanying photos. The accompanying photos also show some close-up details from several angles. You can clearly see that the model is well built with the wings secured to the fuselage. The buyer, however, has the option to either break the model down completely and rebuild it, or else permanently display it after attaching the wings to the fuselage and reassembling the rudder and tailplane sections to the fuselage. If you have any questions, please ask.
