Description: This is the second of my Big Four lamp collection to go up for sale. The LNER one got snapped up in under 3 hours last week indicative of the quality of the collection (or maybe me not asking enough!!). Here is the next to go, an LMS example. It is difficult to imagine a better example of an LMS hand lamp. Firstly, glass, every one of the glass filter strips (red blue and clear) is original and in perfect condition. The front glass is original with perfect bevelling, no chips or scratches. Secondly the burner is LMS and thirdly (and most unusually) the paraffin reservoir is stamped LMS as well. There is an LMS Brass embossed plaque on the side with the number LMS 15442. It is the best example I have ever seen and therefore has to command a premium price imo.
