London Thames Rowing Club Trophy 1869 Pewter Mug Scratch 8's Phillip Green

Description: 1869 Trophy Beer Mug Awarded by the Thames Rowing Club to Phillip Green for the Scratch 8 Championship. A very rare item as the Thames Rowing Club had been founded just a few years earlier in the mid 1860's. The mug is engraved to him and I found his picture online in the club archives and it is not included but have shown it for identification. I do not know if the club has any trophies from this period and you could likely research them to see if he was a founding member. The mug is 5.5" in height with a nice patina and only normal wear.
