It stands 7.5" high and is a pearl glazed earthenware with overglazed enamel painted decoration. It depicts figures of a man, woman and swan. The man is playing the mandolin and the dancing lady stands on a bridge over stream with a swan beneath the bridge. The figure has a bocage profusion of blue leaves. May have been produced by Dudson of Hanley who were the only makers of Blue Bocage. The figures are exquisite and the colors vibrant.
