Description: Up for sale is a First Edition, 2nd or 3rd printing, of Mark Twain's Innocents Abroad or The New Pilgrim's Progress. It is dated 1870 on the title page and 1869 on the following copyright page. The book was rebound in grey cloth at some point in it's life and has faint UV discoloration on the spine. The page block is in excellent condition besides some chipping on the edges of the title page and dedication page. For some reason the photos made the grey cloth look inconsistent. To the eye it is very consistent besides the aforementioned discoloration to the spine. THE FOLLOWING IS BOILERPLATE LANGUAGE INCLUDED IN ALL OF MY BOOK LISTINGS. Item specific condition notes will be included below if they differ from this general description. Please examine photos closely to assess condition. Book may have mild "old book smell" and shelf/storage wear difficult to see in photos. There may be some pencil marks/underlining on inside pages, but I do quickly scan early pages and will note if I find anything. Unless particularly valuable/interesting, I do not sell books below "good" condition. If Unless otherwise requested, book will be shipped inside a rigid cardboard box with necessary padding and all seams sealed with packing tape. Shipping is via USPS Media Mail.
