Whereas the real date of issue of the "Post Office" stamps (Stanley Gibbons MU 1 & MU 2) were issued on 21 Sep 1847. This is clearly mentioned in the insert of the original FDC commemorating the anniversary of the stamps. The Dodo Philatelic Society of Mauritius did a wonderful job by designing the third cover, a Souvenir Cover, with clear "21 SE 22" postmark cancel at the Port-Louis Post Office, also the Mauritius Stamp Museum, illustrated in the Rs16 stamp affixed. This trio cover set commemorates the anniversary of the stamps, the rich history of Mauritius Post Office, it's stamps, and it's culture and fame since so many decades and among those in the philatelic dimension.
