Description: Midcentury 1949, Handmade Wood Table Lamp, Yarn Wrapped Shade, 3 Way, Works, 8' Cord Hand made wood table lamp, with a drum style, hand wrapped yarn shade. One of a kind. In very good condition; works well. Currently the lamp is using a 3-way bulb and the switch turns on all three brightness levels. Includes a vintage diffuser, with bulb clip, screwed to the shade via the finial. This holds the shade to the lamp. Can also be used with a glass shade iserted around the bulb, on which the shade rests. Hand signed and dated: July 1949, Designer Stella Levinson, Artisan Mage Levinson Mage Levinson was a Mid Century creative - composer, musician, and artist- who was cousin to artist Man Ray. Stella and Mage (Meyer) Levinson worked out of their home studio in Arden (Village of Arden), a village and art colony in New Castle County, Delaware, founded in 1900.
