Description: DATING TO THE FLAPPER 1920’S FASHIONED OF A PINK SILK THICK TAFFETA THAT IS RICHLY BROCADE IN METALLIC GOLD LAME AND SILK FLOSS IN LARGE OVALS AND ROSE AND FLORAL CLUSTERS. SILK VELVET RIBBON AND METALLIC GOLD LAME LACE TRIMS THE BROCADE DETAILS IN RUFFLES FULLY THROUGHOUT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE IN THE REAR. CONDITION: SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED. A FRONT PANEL WAS REMOVED AND WAS MOST LIKELY AN ALTERNATE FABRIC. IT COULD HAVE BEEN ROWS OF GOLD LAME LACE RUFFLES OR A BEADED SILK VELVET, THE ABSENCE AT THE WAISTBAND IS 10 INCHES. LACE RUFFLING IS LOOSE ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE AND NEEDS TO BE RESTITCHED BACK INTO PLACE, ALL THE LACE IS PRESENT AND JUST NEEDS TO BE HAND STITCHED BACK. THERE IS ONE 1 1/2 INCH HOLE ON THE FRONT SIDE ABOVE THE SECOND OVAL WITH FOUR PINHEAD HOLES AND ONE ONE INCH SEAM ON THE REAR THAT NEEDS TO BE STITCHED BACK. SOME SMALL STITCH FOLDS ON THE REAR WAISTBAND HAS TAKEN IN THE WAIST SLIGHTLY. SUCH AND INCREDIBLE ANTIQUE TEXTILE.
