Description: Original Ink Drawing on Paper of the Dalai Lama, Signed & Dated by Jerry Weisberg (b.1940)11 inches wide 13 1/2 inches high Condition: Very Good: There are slight indications of age Dated: 10/1/1984 Description: At the time of this drawing I studied with John Grillo and Leonel Gongora who were teaching at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. I took my clipboard, and I think a felt pen to a lecture by Tezin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama, given at a lecture hall on the campus of Amherst College, Amherst MA. The drawing was made while I was seated in the audience, and I wrote some of his comments on the back of the paper as the Dalai Lama was lecturing. I drew a few portraits during the lecture. This is one of them. I exhibited and sold work during the early 1980s at Galleries in Boston, and New York, and at the Coconut Grove Art Festival, (Miami) and a Show in Key West. My art production was (1981 – 1984).
