Description: This is an original Israeli Defence Force (IDF) M1 Helmet Liner! Yom Kippur War? Liner is based on the U.S. P64 M1 Helmet Liner, which was issued by the American Military between 1964 and 1969. This helmet liner was made from laminated cotton duck. However, the P64 liner was also produced in laminated high strength nylon fabric between 1964 and 1974. The nylon helmet liner offered improved ballistic protection and was 2 to 3 oz heavier than the cotton duck version. This version does not have a nape strap. Made by Tama, it has two molded identifications the צ and מ י (M and I) which is believed to stand for State of Israel and indicates ownership of the mold.
