Description: Up for sale is a nice Orvis Impregnated "Battenkill" bamboo fly rod. This rod is 8’ long and it is rated for 8wt fly lines (it will cast 7wt fly lines just fine as well). Overall, this rod is in good used shape; however, it does look like the wrappings were redone at some point in time. Please note, the female ferrule wrapping is starting to fray. The cork handle has some wear; however, it feels nice in your hand. The bamboo itself looks great and the ferrules fit tight. The serial number is “22499” and it is labeled on each section.
